Yesterday while home with sick child, I watched Mr. Brooks. 
All I can say is WOW! It was a TRUE psychological thriller….something we don’t see a lot of these days. I’m not sure who I liked best, Kevin Costner or William Hurt (as the psychotic devil on his shoulders). What I really liked though was…..Gonna put it below the cut because it’s a HUGE spoiler.
What I really liked was when Costner’s character found out his daughter was….well let’s just say the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. She dropped out of college and came home to try and escape getting caught for…murder. It was a FABULOUS twist and what a moral dilemma?!!?!?! What does a killer, who doesn’t want to be a killer, do when he finds out his daughter is also a killer? Does he let her get caught? Does he help her? Overall I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it. My only quibble was, I wanted to see more of how the dilemma with the daughter played out, because it was such a stellar twist. Maybe it was sequel bait?
