Day 5 of Love…Lilli Feisty & One of my Fave Artists!
OUR DAY THREE WINNER IS JODER! CONGRATULATIONS YOU’VE WON A COPY OF ‘LUCK OF THE DRAW‘ BY KAREN ERICKSON (AS WELL AS YOUR CHOICE FROM MY BACKLIST)! EMAIL ME IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE! (Up at the top of my site is a list of drop-down menus. If you go to DIRTY SKINNY, you’ll see one labeled contact–it’ll open a pop-up window for you to email me. If for some reason, it doesn’t work for you, leave me a comment and I’ll get in touch!)
Just FYI…PHOTOS MIGHT NOT BE SAFE FOR WORK!
There are few things I love in this life as much as I love books–music and art being two of them…oh, and the kids–I guess. While I can carry a tune without a bucket, I couldn’t draw or paint if my life depended upon it.
If you check out Feisty’s avatar here at NAS, you’ll see it’s a pinup model. Well as it so happens, I LOVE pinup! I blame my grandfather…he had this ashtray with a little pinup girl on it.
Anyway, you can imagine my excitement when I discovered the fabulous Robert Alvarado on DeviantArt (click to browse his gallery). And every once in a while, he includes one of my other favorite artforms in his work–INK!
I’m not sure it gets much better than that.
So what about you? Artistic or just an admirer and what’s your medium of choice? Today’s prize includes your choice from my backlist, Lilli’s new book DARE TO SURRENDER (you can check out 5 cool facts about her latest release here or read an excerpt courtesy of the GCP website. I’m about half done with DTS and I promise you will NOT be disappointed! Also, I’m throwing in a copy of Robert Alvarado’s 2010 calendar (gotta support the arts!)

i love it when you say "photos might not be safe for work" ha ha! Eh..I am so-so artistic i guess. I can do somethings like cake decorating and some drawing…but i am in no way good enough to sell anything (or even post anything TO be sold lol). And singing? please…i will wail on Rock Band but that's about the extent of it, and that is pretty scary. I think i will just sit back and admire.
btw did you notice that inked girl has a tattoo band on her right ankle in the bottom photo but not the other…just sayin..lol
Everyone's a RockStar on Rock Band babe!!! LOL
And I think it's just the way her foot is tucked!

LOL Stace they're definitely questionable….So I figured better safe than FIRED! :p It's also why I picked these particular photos rather than some of the more risque ones! I didn't want anyone trying to win a book and getting fired instead!
LOVE ink….but I am just an admirer, thanks to hubby, who promises to divorce me if I get one….hummm…..
I love the beautiful colors….my sister had a henna tatoo that was really nice too.
I've pretty much decided I want the entire top of my back shoulders done…:p
OMG…Robert Alvarado's art is amazing!! That pin up model's tatto is so beautiful. I'm sure she spent days in the chair, but I just love how colorful it is and it really suits her.
I'm artistic/crafty and an admirer of art. I paint on silk, dabble in watercolor, and some paper crafts. I can spend days in a museum. Years ago, my friend and I drove hours to get to the LA Musuem of Art to catch the Russian collection of Gaugin. I was blown away when I got to the room that held a piece called Are You Jealous. I thought it would be a standard canvas piece, but was overwhelmed when I found it was a beautiful burst of colors and shapes, a visually- stunning piece that spanned from nearly ceiling to floor. Of course, I had to get a copy from the museum and framed it.
And Lilli Feisty I discovered last year as a new-to-me author. Bound to Please was one of my favorite books and I am looking forward to her sequel.
>>OMG…Robert Alvarado's art is amazing!
I KNOW!!!! *squeeing* And you're going to love DTS! It's funny, I've never been much of an art gallery person (but I like it). I think I'm more of a photography person. I'm not terribly creative, outside of writing, unless you could building websites and stuff and sometimes I think that's more stubbornness than anything LOL But I LOVE to be outside and I love gardening/watching things grow!
I am such a wuss, so no tattoo in my future, but wow, totally gorgeous. Love Feisty's stories, just go thru reading Sting of Desire.
Another admirer here. Not sure if I could handle the pain, but if I were to get a tattoo it would be small and discreet.
I am definitely not artistic, I do well to draw a stick figure. I do admire anyone who can draw. I like good photograph’s too. I’m not a big fan of tattooes. By that I mean I would never have one myself. I have no problem with other people having them. My 27 year old daughter has a cross on her foot.
Wow!!! I am so impressed with those photos!! That side-piece is absolutely stunning. But ouch! I bet it hurt!!
I wish I was artistic… but alas, I am not. I prefer to admire. I could spend all day just wandering the museums in Paris… If only!!
Thanks for doing this post, sweetie!!
My pleasure my friend!
Oh, definitely only an admirer. I couldn't draw/paint to save my life. I think its amazing what people can create, though. Astounding.
I do a little of everything art and crafts writing singing I love pinups they r soo beautiful and i have a thing for tatoos and art with tatoos greta post i love that site fiesty is soo beautiful
Love the art! Admirer here too, but maybe one day I'll get a tat. of my own. If that's the case – I'd probably try my hand at designing my own. I adore uniqueness and my drawing isn't too shabby.
