I dont know about ya’ll but it’s been a hell of a week. Summer is here; the kids are out of school in a week and I’m ready for some time away from this computer. I feel a hiatus coming on–a real one!

I love this excerpt from “The Seeker,” a poem by Rilke in his Book of Hours (translated by Robert Bly): “I am circling around God, around the ancient tower, and I have been circling for a thousand years, and I still don’t know if I am a falcon, or a storm, or a great song.” Here’s my own personal variation: “I am circling around love, around the throbbing hum, and I have been circling for thousands of days, and I still don’t know if I am a wounded saint, or a rainy dawn, or a creation story.” Please compose your own version of this poem, Leo. It’s an excellent time to fantasize about what you’re circling around and what force of nature you might be.

Since I’m under deadline and not REALLY reading all I have is my Emergency Book (the one you never leave home without). Funny enough it’s CJ Lyons’ Lifelines!

I cleaned house (which was like four hours of my life I’ll never get back), went to the movies and Blockbuster, took the kids to eat (twice), cooked, hit Home Depot, the pet store and the hardware store, fixed Raine’s smileys, updated the website, listened to my children argue (more hours I’ll never get back), sent a newsletter and hung a fan in my child’s room. I’m proud to say the fan works … but the light fixture doesn’t *sigh*

Off to do two blog posts (and finish cooking dinner)

I can’t tell you how happy I am that the weekend is here. It’s been a long frustrating week and I woke up Friday at 2 am to let the dog out and never went back to sleep. As a reward I snuck out and got a Pedicure on Friday afternoon. I really needed the de-stressing and my feet needed the attention!

So I don’t have much to blog about …. other than Nailed goes on sale Tuesday–did I mention that already? LOL

Bad insomnia last night–thank you Kara (who got her nose double bitchslapped by the cat at 3 AM).

I did catch up on some season finales including NCIS *WTF?* damn, Criminal Minds (OMG), and Gossip Girl *sigh* I still have about three weeks of LAO and SVU to watch and OMG did anyone watch the season finale for CSI Las Vegas? I nearly fell out!!!!
