But first…a Kara update!
I took her to the vet yesterday (BTW I have the BEST VET!). They made appropriate noises of love and adoration which she just ate up. I guess, for her, it made getting in the worthwhile (she was not pleased and wanted no part of the car). They think she’s actually not going to get over about 20 pounds and she’s about 5-6 months old; I picked up some flea stuff and she got her rabies shot. I’m taking her back in a month to get fixed. So all is well in puppy land–I’m HOPING to catch her giving Rowdy kisses on film real soon. And I had to lecture the boys on leaving their game system cords where her chewing teeth can get to them after a mishap with the cord to Kevin’s PSP.

And I was tagged by fellow CP author, Kris Eton….
So here are the rules:

The rules:

a. Link to the person who tagged you.
b. Post the rules on your blog.
c. Write six random things about yourself.
d. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
e. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.
f. Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

1. I LOVE to grill a bunch of garlic until it’s soft and eat it with butter. YUM

2. I named the dog after Starbuck from Battlestar Gallactica–it’s a sickness

3. I can’t write when I have PMS

4. I had a crush on the original Starbuck from Battlestar Gallactica–it’s a sickness

5. I also had a crush on Luke Skywalker

6. I’m happy to report that I’m now crush-free.

7. (BONUS) #6 is a lie.

Now, for the victims!

If you read this consider yourself invited to play along!

It’s Another Manic Monday!

Not much to report though I did get some writing and editing done this weekend. Not as much as I would have liked, but if you pop in over at SFC you’ll see the reason why!

I”ve also been interviewed by fellow Cobblestone Author Kris Eton! So if you get a minute, pop in and check it out!

I also came home on Friday to ARCS for NAILED! WOOT! It looks great! And I hit Barnes and Noble this weekend. The one in N. Richland Hills is selling out and moving to a location across the highway. I got some great deals (50% off a couple of new hardcovers I’ve been wanting), picked up Wicked Lovely (which has been on my to buy list) and Farenheit 451 for the boy and me to read this summer. I was looking for To Kill a Mockingbird but I couldn’t find it.

For all you Spike fans out there, the kid informed me that he’s going to be in a live action version of Dragonball Z next year!

So what’s new with you? How was your weekend? I’m on the home stretch and other than coming up with a guest blog idea, I’m buckling down this week.

PS. SQUEE!!!!!!

Rob Estes is set to star in the CW’s “90210,” while Katee Sackhoff has joined FX’s “Nip/Tuck” as recurring…On the upcoming sixth season of “Nip/Tuck,” Sackhoff (”Battlestar Galactica”) will play Dr. Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, a new doctor who challenges Sean (Dylan Walsh). She will appear in four episodes.

Shiloh’s Auction and a Deadline Island Report

Fellow author Shiloh Walker is doing an ebay auction to benefit cyclone victims in Myanmar (via Save the Children). The full list of items can be seen here. There’s TONS of great books (Anya Bast, Beth Williamson, Charlene Teglia, Ann Jacobs, Kate Angel, Sara Reinke, yours truly and of course Ms. Shiloh herself!).

Go forth and bid!

Instead of blogging at Naughty and Spice Tuesday, I’m blogging at the Cobblestone Press blog*. I hope you’ll stop by.

And then on Wednesday I”m blogging at the Romance Junkies Blog*

And if you’re at all interested in what’s coming our way this fall on TV, Upfront is just around the corner. I’ve heard we have more Life, Heroes, Terminator:SCC and Eli Stone coming as well as Gossip Girl, Reaper and Supernatural. And of course Joss Wheadon has a new series in the works *drool* I’ve been um doing research watching lots of Buffy and Angel–how the hell did I miss Angel?

(*This is as much a reminder for me as it is for ya’ll Hehe)

TUESDAY UPDATE: The auction is up to 500.00!!!! Over at Naughty and Spice with my RITA scores. And blogging about the high cost of a good time at the Cobblestone Blog.

I got tons of writing/plotting done last night and I’m off to dump my Alpha Smart.

Free-scope

My Freewill Astrology scope:

Are you fully prepared for your showdown with The Machine? Are you as confident as you need to be in order to fight for the rights of soulful beauty? Of course not. None of us is ever perfectly prepared as we go up against the Big Lies of the mechanical thinkers. But I do have great faith in your ability to prevail — especially if you strengthen yourself with this meditation from the book Less Than One, by Joseph Brodsky: “The surest defense against evil is extreme individualism, originality of thinking, whimsicality — even if you will, eccentricity . . . Evil is a sucker for solidarity. It always goes for big numbers, for confident granite, for ideological purity, for drilled armies and balance sheets.”

I’ve always said I’d rather be a wolf than a sheep!

How about that American Idle last night? I’ll blog about it later. Overall Meh. Go check out Donna Kauffman’s recap–it’s fab. And I’m sure Karin has one up but I haven’t been there yet.
