Zippin Through

Apologies for the totally PSA blog post!

The incomparable Brenda Novak is guest blogging at Southern Fried Chicas today about her new series. Stop by, weigh in, I’ll be giving away a copy of her new book TRUST ME–I figured since I’m off to order myself one, I might as well share the love!

Also don’t forget. I’m guest blogging at Caridad Pinero’s today and giving away a copy of Nailed.

And Friday I’m guest blogging at the Manuscript Mavens! (I almost forgot!!!) I’m sure there will be more book love so stay tuned!

How I Spent My Holiday Weekend

(my child is watching Noroku *sigh* I hate cartoons)

I cleaned house (which was like four hours of my life I’ll never get back), went to the movies and Blockbuster, took the kids to eat (twice), cooked, hit Home Depot, the pet store and the hardware store, fixed Raine’s smileys, updated the website, listened to my children argue (more hours I’ll never get back), sent a newsletter and hung a fan in my child’s room. I’m proud to say the fan works … but the light fixture doesn’t *sigh*

Did I leave anything out?

Oh yeah WRITING! :(

Off to do two blog posts (and finish cooking dinner)

It’s Another Manic Monday!

Not much to report though I did get some writing and editing done this weekend. Not as much as I would have liked, but if you pop in over at SFC you’ll see the reason why!

I”ve also been interviewed by fellow Cobblestone Author Kris Eton! So if you get a minute, pop in and check it out!

I also came home on Friday to ARCS for NAILED! WOOT! It looks great! And I hit Barnes and Noble this weekend. The one in N. Richland Hills is selling out and moving to a location across the highway. I got some great deals (50% off a couple of new hardcovers I’ve been wanting), picked up Wicked Lovely (which has been on my to buy list) and Farenheit 451 for the boy and me to read this summer. I was looking for To Kill a Mockingbird but I couldn’t find it.

For all you Spike fans out there, the kid informed me that he’s going to be in a live action version of Dragonball Z next year!

So what’s new with you? How was your weekend? I’m on the home stretch and other than coming up with a guest blog idea, I’m buckling down this week.

PS. SQUEE!!!!!!

Rob Estes is set to star in the CW’s “90210,” while Katee Sackhoff has joined FX’s “Nip/Tuck” as recurring…On the upcoming sixth season of “Nip/Tuck,” Sackhoff (”Battlestar Galactica”) will play Dr. Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, a new doctor who challenges Sean (Dylan Walsh). She will appear in four episodes.

So You Don’t Want to be a Writer?!

I’m blogging at SFC today on how NOT to write a book. I’ll admit some of the stuff I listed were pet peeves but….feel free to weigh in and stuff. More later. I’ve got TONS to do today. Including, writing :)

* Oooooooooo ever wondered what my favorite words was? Then stop by the CP Blog and find out (and if you don’t know….tsk tsk)

* Ooooooooo are you bidding? It’s Brenda Novak auction time! Not only are the NAS girls doing it, everyone’s DOING IT! *ggg* I’ve donated a critique, a T-shirt and autographed copy of Nailed and some MORE stuff with our RWA chapter which looks to be a one day auction.

* Page proofs are done, faxed, and going in the mail (and groceries must be bought and errands run). We’re totally having frozen pizza for dinner!

TUESDAY:

* I’m blogging today at NAS about Ropers Rule and writing shorts.

* And Denise is blogging about Fear over at SFC

* Groceries were bought, children were fed LOL Ohhhhhh and now I get to fix my smilies!

Here…but not.

Over at NAS I’m blogging about books you’d stake a friendship on–blatantly stolen from Stephen Parrish. Consider it a quick meme.

Over at SFC Dennie is talking about sentence structure and you really need to read this. Really.

And tomorrow at SFC we have the uber-fabulous Mechelle Armstrong guest blogging about her latest release!

The meter has moved. I’ll see ya’ll next week.

Behind the Book & When Randy Laughs

This weeks’ behind the book is with one of my favorite people–Mary Fetcher (writing as MJ Fredrick), so stop on by! (and read her sale story–it’s not to be missed)

Otherwise not much going on. I did finish Kitty Goes to Washington and I think I actually loved it more than the first book. I’m dying for the third but it’s crunch time so it’s all writing all the time for the next month!

MY AI recap is below the cut
(more…)

We’re Talking

We’re talking booktrailers (yes again) over at Southern Fried Chicas today. Sheila English popped in last time but her comment got lost. I found it and it was so fascinating, I had to give it it’s own blog post (how’s that for bad grammar?). I know it’s her job to sell book videos–it’s her business after all–but she came at it from an angle I never thought of.

In other news, I have none. LOL I hope everyone had a good time at the NINC conference. I can’t wait to hear all about it. I’m going to be at the DARA Conference this weekend (and signing books on Friday night). Come say hi (I’m the crazy brunette with spiky hair and purple highlights).
