I Know What Today Is
And to be honest I’ve wavered all day about blogging, since so many others already have, while remembering today quietly. I know where I was and what I was doing and it still amazes me that it can make me cry. It definitely makes memorial holidays like the bombing of Pearl Harbor take on a new meaning.

Okay so it’s not pics of hunks but it’s mighty tasty. And Right Up Steph’s Alley Easy.
Easy Cobbler
3 large cans pie filling (any flavor)
1 yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1 9 x 13 dish
1. spread 1 1/2 cans pie filling in bottom of dish
2. spread 2/3 the yellow cake mix across pie filling
3. spread last of pie filling on top
4. melt butter and pour over top of mixture in dish
5. bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (or until golden brown) at about 375 degrees.
Serve warm with ice cream on top

Okay so it doesnt have the pastry crust of real cobbler on top but who has time?

Seventh Level of Hell
Guarded by the Minotaur, who snarls in fury, and encircled within the river Phlegethon, filled with boiling blood, is the Seventh Level of Hell. The violent, the assasins, the tyrants, and the war-mongers lament their pitiless mischiefs in the river, while centaurs armed with bows and arrows shoot those who try to escape their punishment. The stench here is overpowering. This level is also home to the wood of the suicides- stunted and gnarled trees with twisting branches and poisoned fruit. At the time of final judgement, their bodies will hang from their branches. In those branches the Harpies, foul birdlike creatures with human faces, make their nests. Beyond the wood is scorching sand where those who committed violence against God and nature are showered with flakes of fire that rain down against their naked bodies. Blasphemers and sodomites writhe in pain, their tongues more loosed to lamentation, and out of their eyes gushes forth their woe. Usurers, who followed neither nature nor art, also share company in the Seventh Level.

When you’re having fun!!! 9 years ago today, right now, I was in a hospital with an IV in my arm getting ready to have a baby that was nearly three weeks overdue! 
Tomorrow my baby turns 9
