*Making Loser Sign on Forehead*

nrca_logo_erotrom2.jpgUhhh Apparently I need to answer my phone more often. HANDS ON finaled in the Ok-RWA National Reader’s Choice Awardscontest like a month or something ago, and didn’t know it *L* < –loser signSmoke Screen

I also read Smoke Screen last night (finished–since we have NO TV or INTERNET)….It rocked. I”m adding it to my list of books read for 2008.

And in the interest of shameless self-promotion, NAILED got this lovely review from Harriet Klausner:

This is an exciting erotic romantic suspense that grips the audience the first time the bounty hunter sees the voyeur and never slows down even with a few obvious but delightful twists. Bonnie and Wynn are a delightful pair as he detours from the mission that his dad sent him on. Amie Stuart NAILED this fine tale due to the lead coupling.

I Hurt

Bad insomnia last night–thank you Kara (who got her nose double bitchslapped by the cat at 3 AM).

I did catch up on some season finales including NCIS *WTF?* damn, Criminal Minds (OMG), and Gossip Girl *sigh* I still have about three weeks of LAO and SVU to watch and OMG did anyone watch the season finale for CSI Las Vegas? I nearly fell out!!!!

In other news NAILED goes on sale TUESDAY!

HANDS ON finaled in the First Coast Beacon contest (published) and I’m chatting at FARChatters today! So pop in and say hey!

It’s Another Manic Monday!

Not much to report though I did get some writing and editing done this weekend. Not as much as I would have liked, but if you pop in over at SFC you’ll see the reason why!

I”ve also been interviewed by fellow Cobblestone Author Kris Eton! So if you get a minute, pop in and check it out!

I also came home on Friday to ARCS for NAILED! WOOT! It looks great! And I hit Barnes and Noble this weekend. The one in N. Richland Hills is selling out and moving to a location across the highway. I got some great deals (50% off a couple of new hardcovers I’ve been wanting), picked up Wicked Lovely (which has been on my to buy list) and Farenheit 451 for the boy and me to read this summer. I was looking for To Kill a Mockingbird but I couldn’t find it.

For all you Spike fans out there, the kid informed me that he’s going to be in a live action version of Dragonball Z next year!

So what’s new with you? How was your weekend? I’m on the home stretch and other than coming up with a guest blog idea, I’m buckling down this week.

PS. SQUEE!!!!!!

Rob Estes is set to star in the CW’s “90210,” while Katee Sackhoff has joined FX’s “Nip/Tuck” as recurring…On the upcoming sixth season of “Nip/Tuck,” Sackhoff (”Battlestar Galactica”) will play Dr. Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, a new doctor who challenges Sean (Dylan Walsh). She will appear in four episodes.

Have I Repeated Myself Yet?

Cuz I feel like I am!

Jeri Smith-Ready is guest blogging at Southern Fried Chicas SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE

And I”m up at Romance Junkies today talking about taking ideas and twisting them up

Oh look I’m bloggin’

I just wrote this over at the Bradford Bunch, and thought it might make an interesting discussion…especially since Denise and I were talking about NAILED over drinks this evening…because, well, relatively speaking, NAILED doesn’t have a lot of sex in it.

I’ll be honest and say I don’t read a lot of erotic romance/erotica because, well, it makes me neurotic and then I start worrying because I might not have enough sex or it’s not this or it’s not that…I just value my sanity too much I guess LOL

Funny enough, I don’t think I figured this out until I wrote it just now. Am I wrong? Is this bad? I don’t think so. I think, sometimes, it is what it is. And sometimes, it isn’t

BTW While putting highlights in my hair this Am I wrote two more pages.

One of Those Days

Ever have one of those days where you forget something but can’t remember what you keep forgetting?

Well that’s been my entire week.

No writing yesterday–I’m not surprised. We had basketball again last night and I got up so early yesterday by the time I took the kid to practice I was bleary eyed, so I read instead.

Probably no writing again until Monday and here’s why:
a) I have page proofs on NAILED due Tuesday. I’m not done.
b) I’m one of the contest coordinators for our chapter contest and we’re gearing up to mail out judges packets (Sunday).
c) I have an RWA Chapter meeting Saturday and I’m the secretary (I also can’t find my notes from the last meeting and I have to type up the minutes
d) I have a book signing tomorrow with Denise, Mik et all. I have one inch of white roots. Guess what I’m doing tonight?! Yeah.

e) I have to do the second round of edits on Ropers Rule (Saturday night I hope).
f) Spend Sunday with Lynn putting together judges packets…oh and clean tonight so my house doesn’t look like a complete pigsty when she comes over.*note to self: buy candles*

can I please be excused from the planet this weekend? Thanks. I knew I could count on you.

In the mean time, if you’re bored, Raine is on her soap box again at SFC…and the Manuscript Mavens CYOA is still going on!

13

Thirteen is my lucky number. I got thirteen pages yesterday including the two I wrote in the AM and still managed to go over some of the page proofs for NAILED Where I found a HUGE ASS mistake that I can’t believe I Missed. Actually, considering it was Christmas when I did edits and I stopped writing MUS to work on NAILED, yes I can but still it was big. Really big. Okay…okay it wasn’t this big, but it would definitely have earned me a mocking email from Sybil.

I’ve got RWA on Saturday as well as a book signing and chapter contest stuff this weekend so it looks grim. I’ll update the meter but probably won’t blog. Probably :)
